2020 to 2023
Two Row on the Grand

For the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, we still carried the Friendship Wampum and the Two Row Wampum down the Grand River from Cambridge to Lake Erie. We had socially distanced paddles with only those paddlers who could be self-sufficient with transportation, food and safety supplies.

We compiled playlists of our paddle days, called Trip Clips and also teachings, TRED Talks: Getting Traction with Healing and Reconciliation. Click to see those YouTube playlists and others, below.

In 2022 and 2023, we resumed full ten day trips, sharing the river, meals, campgrounds and cultural teachings along the way.

18 jours/days: De Kitcisakik, QC, dans le Parc La Vérendrye, on a traversé trois réservoirs: Dozois, Cabunga, Baskatong et a sillonné les rivières Gens de Terre, Wapos et Gatineau jusqu'à Ottawa, ON

The 2011 David Thompson Brigade

43 jours/days: From Invermere, BC through Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon to the Pacific Ocean at Astoria, Oregon. I paddled 20 days from Wenatchee, WA, arriving in Astoria, OR, on July 15th, 2011, exactly 200 years after David Thompson, world's greatest mapmaker, arrived to find familiar faces from the North West Company now working for the American Fur Company.
