A Bit About Me
Having survived and thrived in thirty-five years of teaching French in both Manitoba and Ontario, I have become an authentic voyageur, paddling over 4000 km so far on the fur trade routes of Canada and the US, mostly in birch bark canoes, bedroll on the ground, cold pea soup and bannock to eat, fires started with flint and steel. Since 1990, I have presented over 500 voyageur events at schools and for other groups from Windsor to Brockville and Elliott Lake to Sault Ste. Marie, as far as Winnipeg, MB and Grande Paririe, AB, bringing Canadian history and la joie de vivre canadienne to our students and community organizations.
I am also a published software designer/programmer and curriculum writer.
More importantly, I am a son, husband, father, grandfather, and a brother of Yeshu, Messiah.
Un peu sur moi
Ayant survécu, avec élan, trente-cinq ans comme enseignant de français au Manitoba et en Ontario, je suis devenu voyageur authentique. Jusqu'ici, j'ai pagayé plus que 4 000 km sur les routes de la traite en fourrures au Canada et aux ÉU, pour la plupart en canots d'écorce, le nez aux étoiles, mangeant la soupe aux pois froide et la bannique, les feux faits avec un silex. Depuis 1990, j'ai monté plus que 500 événements voyageur à des écoles et pour d'autres groupes de Windsor à Brockville et d'Elliott Lake à Sault Ste. Marie, jusqu'à Winnnipeg, MB et Grande Prairie, AB, évoquant l'histoire, l'héritage et la joie de vivre canadiens pour nos étudiants et nos étudiantes.
Je suis aussi créateur/programmateur/écrivain de logiciels et de curricula publiés.
Plus important, je suis fils, mari, père, grand-père et aussi frère de Yéchou, Méssie.
